NoMAD MOVIE ART is a multidisciplinary art project by NAU that brings together cinema and contemporary visual art. Drawing inspiration from film classics, iconic scenes and popular culture, the project invites authors to transform familiar cinematic references into original, personal visual interpretations.
Working across illustration, graphic design, photography, typography and other media, each author uses the film poster as a starting point for a personal interpretation of familiar stories and imagery. Between 2022 and 2025, NoMAD MOVIE ART brought together more than 40 Croatian and regional authors, producing over 50 artworks across six editions and reaching audiences through film festivals, exhibitions and cultural programs across Croatia and the region.
In 2026, the project enters a new, commercially focused phase, expanding the reach of its collection through limited-edition prints, art sales and distribution partnerships. NoMAD MOVIE ART approaches cinema not simply as something to watch, but as a shared source of inspiration, memory and creative expression.
