Mediteran 2035 is an art platform for research and production. We are interested in the places we inhabit and the processes transforming their spaces, identities and everyday life. Rather than portraying the Mediterranean as a tourist postcard, we look at it from within - through its cities,
Mass tourism, affordable housing, public space, identity, generational differences and questions about how we will live over the coming decade are just some of the themes the project explores. We are not trying to offer a definitive vision of the future. Instead, we are interested in different perspectives and what happens when they come together.
The project develops through multidisciplinary artworks, exhibitions, dialogues between authors, research, conversations and collaborations in different communities. Each place brings something of its own, allowing the same works, ideas and questions to be experienced from different perspectives.
In this way, Mediteran 2035 becomes a meeting place - a space for dialogue, new artistic production and the creation of a living archive of the Mediterranean.
