BILjET 2021 – Voyager was an artist residency program organized in collaboration with the Biševo Association / BIAR on the island of Biševo. In this remote island setting, authors were given the time and space to live, explore and develop new work in direct connection with the landscape, local community and rhythms of island life.

Throughout July and August, Biševo became a temporary home to artists and creatives from different parts of Europe, selected through an open call. Visual artists, illustrators, comic book artists, street artists, writers and poets worked both independently and collaboratively, exchanging ideas and creating work inspired by the island and their experiences there.

The works produced during the residency were presented in 2022 through a series of exhibitions in Split, Pula, Šibenik and Zagreb, taking the experience of Biševo beyond the island and introducing it to new spaces and audiences.
