OMO Series, an exhibition of graphic works by Split-based author Petar Reić, was presented at Smartspace in November 2021. Reić is best known as the founder of OmoLab, a visual communication lab developing fonts and tools for people with dyslexia. In this series, he brings elements of his recognizable visual language into the realm of contemporary art, moving beyond their original technological and therapeutic context.

The screen prints explore repetition and the reduction of graphic forms to their essential elements. Behind their seemingly simple compositions lies an exploration of communication and understanding. Combining contemporary graphic design with the traditional technique of screen printing, Reić creates visually striking, balanced works that explore the boundary between signs and abstraction.
