The people behind NAU

Mirela Jusupović

Founder & Creative Director

Mirela Jusupović, originally from Sarajevo, is the founder and creative director of NOMAD.ART UNION, where she develops and leads contemporary art projects from initial concept through production and public presentation.

Her work focuses on creating accessible formats for contemporary art and connecting artists, spaces and audiences beyond conventional gallery settings.
Before founding the organisation in Split in 2019, she spent more than fifteen years in the international fashion industry in New York and Italy, working in senior design and creative leadership roles. She studied Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design in New York.

Petar Reić

Creative Consultant

Petar Reić is a Split-based communication specialist, designer and social entrepreneur, and the founder of visual communication lab OmoLab and startup Omoguru. Through his work, he develops inclusive tools and typography designed to make reading more accessible to people with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.

His creative practice spans graphic design, posters and, more recently, sculptural reliefs, characterised by a contemporary visual language, clean lines and a strong focus on geometry and abstraction.

Ana Bratić

Curator & Producer

Ana Bratić is a Split-based curator and cultural worker with a Master’s degree in Philosophy and Art History Education. Since 2023, she has served as President of HULU Split, where she leads and coordinates the exhibition programme and contributes to the development and production of artistic and cultural projects.

Her work focuses on contemporary art, curatorial and programme development, exhibition production and collaboration with artists and cultural organisations, with a particular interest in connecting artistic practices with their local and broader social contexts.

Mia Svaguša

Project Manager

Mia Svaguša is a project manager with more than fifteen years of experience across civil society, humanitarian and cultural organisations.

Her work includes project development, grant research and applications, budgeting, strategic planning and the management of complex projects funded through programmes including EuropeAid and the European Social Fund.

At NOMAD.ART UNION, she brings extensive experience in project management, evaluation and organisational development to the planning, funding and implementation of cultural and creative initiatives.
